I was tasked with designing an event social app for attendees to post their event photos on and communicate with other attendees.

Research and Discovery
The design process began with thorough user research to understand the behaviors, preferences, and pain points of event attendees. Methods included:
Interviews and Surveys: Conducted with event-goers to identify their needs and expectations for a social media app.
Persona Development: Created detailed user personas to represent different types of event attendees and their motivations.
Contextual Inquiry: Observed users at events to gain insights into their social media usage patterns and interactions.

Fragmented Experiences: Attendees currently use multiple platforms to share photos and communicate, leading to a fragmented experience.
Event Discoverability: Users wanted better ways to discover and explore other events of interest.

I created wireframes and prototypes to visualize the app’s interface and user flows. Key considerations included:

Interactive Event Social Feed
Exclusive Event Memory Sharing: Users can post photos and videos from the event, creating a dynamic feed that captures shared experiences in real time.
Engagement Through Reactions & Interactions: Attendees can like, comment, and engage with posts, fostering conversations and connections beyond the event itself.
Unique Memory Reactions: To add exclusivity, users can send one unique reaction per event to another attendee’s post, making interactions more meaningful and event-specific.
Seamless Social Integration: The event feed functions as a central hub for attendees to reconnect, reminisce, and build lasting event communities.
Photo Editing and Sharing
Easy Upload & Editing: Users can upload event photos and utilize built-in editing tools, including cropping, rotating, and aspect ratio adjustments (1:1, 4:5, 16:9) for optimal presentation.
Event-Specific Galleries: Shared images are automatically added to the event’s dedicated gallery, allowing attendees to relive and engage with the experience collectively.
Interactive Social Engagement: Attendees can like, comment, and interact with shared memories, fostering post-event conversations and connections.
Mobile-Optimized Sharing: The intuitive interface ensures a seamless experience on both mobile and desktop, making it easy to edit and post content in real time.
Post Visibility and Privacy Options
Adjustable Post Visibility: Users can choose to share their posts with everyone, event attendees only, or keep them private for personal memories.
Seamless Privacy Management: These settings allow users to curate their audience without affecting their overall account privacy.
Accessibility Enhancements: Users can add alt text to their photos, ensuring an inclusive experience for visually impaired attendees.
Dynamic Sharing Flexibility: Privacy settings can be adjusted per post, giving users full control over their event content.
